July 12, 2010 a very sad event happened. The genius behind the underground comic American Splendor died of the age of 70. I'm guessing a lot of people don't what or this is but He was a really great artist who inspired me. He is also the first artist I've even known to use a rapidograph and got me into using them. Oh yea the movie American Splendor is about him. I guess that's it I don't know how he died but rest in peace Harvey Pekar.
