Fat lines? Do you mean thick strokes/outlines or lines as in graffiti?
I'm using a wacom tablet (like this http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/ ) so drawing and making tags is just like using a regular pen. Sure you can use your mouse but with the tablet you get a natural feel for what you're drawing.
